The 2018 IEEE Region 10 Conference (IEEE TENCON 2018) will be held in Ramada Plaza Hotel, Jeju, Korea, from October 28 to 31, 2018. TENCON is a premier international technical conference of IEEE Region 10, which comprises 58 Sections, 6 councils, 26 subsections, 663 chapters, and 1,431 student branches in the Asia Pacific region.
The theme for TENCON 2018 is Intelligence Outbreak; researchers and engineers will be brought together from academia and industry, and they will freely expose their ideas and opinions on emerging issues in the field of electrical, electronics and computer engineering as well as information technologies.
The ACT Section is considering contributing to the trip cost of one student up to $1000 under the following conditions:
1. Attend the conference (video conferencing of the presentation is not accepted) to present their accepted paper.
2. Report at the Section AGM your experience at TENCON (5-7 min presentation).
3. The Student applying for this funding should not be fully supported by any other funding source. Should the successful student be fully funded at a later date after this award date, this student shall inform the IEEE ACT section committee chair, co-chair and treasurer immediately, so that the second best student selected can get access to these funds and so on.
The ACT Section is seeking Expression of Interest (EoI). Please email details of the accepted paper and an endorsement letter/email from your supervisor in support of this EoI.
Deadline for EoI submission is Friday 31 August 2018.
Please email EoI to:
