Visa Information for IEEE Africon 2015

Except Kenya and Djibouti nationals, visas are required for all visitors to Ethiopia. IEEE Africon2015 participants are highly advised to consult with your local Ethiopian Embassy or Consulates and start visa application as early as possible and before your departure. Embassies/Consulates in some countries take several weeks to process applications.

To facilitate the application, IEEE Africon2015 Conference can provide visa assistant letters to the following individuals:

  • Authors of regular papers and posters
  • Keynote speakers
  • Tutorial and panel speakers
  • Members of the IEEE Africon2015 organizing committee, and
  • IEEE Africon2015 attendees who have paid their registration in full

The letter will verify the intention is only to attend the Conference and local IEEE Africon2015 Office will coordinate with local authorities in Addis Ababa to speed-up the process. Visa assistance letters will only state the followings:

  • Conference title
  • Conference dates
  • Conference location
  • Whether you are an author, speaker, committee member, or attendee

A request for visa support letter is Available Here> (Please Click IEEE_Africon2015_Visa_Appl_Form). However, the Conference by no means guarantees visa delivery nor it has influence on an individual’s application to an Ethiopian Embassy or other agency for a visa to travel to Ethiopia. IEEE Africon2015 is also not responsible for the outcome of an individual’s visa application.
