Welcome to the pages of the IEEE Alaska Section Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) Chapter.

We are a non-profit organization that has dedicated itself to supporting Geoscience and Remote Sensing education and research in the State of Alaska. Among other things, we are running a quarterly public lecture series entitled “Remote Sensing of the Last Frontier” in Fairbanks Alaska that is bringing latest developments in remote sensing to interested groups in the state. Our goal is to enhance communication and collaboration between academia, state administration, and industry.

Please contact us at ak-grs@ieee.org in case you have any questions.
