Boston Young Professionals
IEEE Young Professionals is a peer group for recent graduates and young engineers, scientists and technical experts. When IEEE student members graduate they are automatically added to the Young Professional community. Young Professionals provides the opportunity to network with colleagues and attend events pertaining to their interest.
We get together to have fun and share thoughts about our work, career development, and life status changes that are common experiences for most recent graduates. We provide each other with resources that are available in no other way.
The IEEE Young Professionals Chapter of the Boston Section is the strongest in the world (and we hope to keep it that way). Our section is run by a group of volunteers from industry and academia that rotates every year. We provide opportunities to meet industry associates and entrepreneurs from around the Boston area and the Northeast and encourage members to participate in IEEE activities that are pertinent but otherwise go overlooked.
Young Professional representatives work throughout the region and the world to increase membership of the upcoming generations of engineers. It provides access to webinars, mentoring, IEEE JobSite, the GOLDRush newsletter, networking, volunteer leader development, and other benefits as well. It is a network to promote the new ideas of our generation: Internet, e-commerce, autonomy, space, wireless communications, and many more.
