- IEEE CILS December 2017 Meeting #2: Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 pm. Dr. Mohammad S. Imtiaz of Bradley University will present an overview of the heart from an electrical perspective. Examples of aberrant electrical/chemical events will be presented that can result in diseases and life-threatening events, such as cardiac arrhythmia. Emerging results from his ongoing research will be presented to show how we are using mathematical modeling, machine learning, and high-performance computing to accelerate discovery of novel cures and drugs. - IEEE CILS December 2017 Meeting #1: Wednesday, December 6th at 6:00 pm. Drs. Elliackin Messias Figueiredo and Hugo Valadares Siqueira are Brazilian Visiting Scholars in the Department of Technology at Illinois State University.
