Understanding Cathodic Protection and Its Applications (REVISED DATE)

May 24, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm CDT

Corrosion of buried metallic infrastructure is a serious and costly problem, but cathodic protection can reduce corrosion failures. This presentation will discuss corrosion theory and present specific applications of how properly designed, installed, and maintained cathodic protection systems can add additional service life to buried metallic structures.

About the Speaker:

Jeff Schramuk has been actively working in corrosion control for over 35 years. Mr. Schramuk routinely presents corrosion-control seminars at such venues as NACE Corrosion Conferences and the annual conferences of the American Water Works Association. Mr. Schramuk is a NACE International Certified Cathodic Protection Specialist and has published technical papers that have appeared in the NACE monthly journal, Materials Performance and the Journal of the American Water Works Association.
