Welcome to the IEEE (“Eye-triple-E”) Columbia Section. Geographically, IEEE Columbia is South Carolina, USA, counties of York, Chester, Newberry, Saluda, Lexington, Orangeburg, Bamberg, Calhoun, Richland, Fairfield, Lancaster, Kershaw, Sumter, Clarendon, Lee, Chesterfield, Marlboro, Dillon, and Darlington. Professionally, IEEE Columbia are the 510 regional members of the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity.

IEEE’s membership has long been composed of engineers, scientists, and allied professionals. These include computer scientists, software developers, information technology professionals, physicists, medical doctors, and many others in addition to our electrical and electronics engineering core. We are undergraduate and graduate students, mentors, educators, scholars, researchers, innovators, practitioners, and volunteers in more than 160 countries and who inspire a global community through its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
