This technical session will introduce the community to the IEEE Mobile Operations Vehicle. MOVE will supply disaster survivors with Wi-Fi access to the Internet, emergency information, and hand-held device recharging power packs. Teams of trained volunteers from IEEE Sections will deploy the MOVE unit to an Emergency Shelter and provide services to individuals using, or visiting, the shelter. The MOVE vision and project will be presented so volunteers may identify opportunities to participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of MOVE. Between deployments, IEEE volunteers will be invited to support pre-university STEM/MOVE education.
