Internet of Things

The Internet of Things (Anything?)

IEEE members live and work in 160+ countries, on 6 continents.
This technical session will engage the audience in topics from IEEE’s
global discussions of the Internet of Things (IoT) and will introduce
the intelligent sensor platform for IoT by Intel Corporation, the
world’s largest processor manufacturer. This session will provide
working definitions of IoT and challenge the audience to get involved
in the IoT revolution. It will focus upon emerging standards,
innovations across industries, and research that reveals global
excitement regarding Internet of Things -Anything.

“On the Internet of Things, nobody knows you’re a dog“ Tam Harbert (June 2014)

“This is why you can’t ignore the Internet of Things” Chris Neiger (June 2014)

What You Will Learn:
• IoT is about the “Things”
• “Things” will sense and communicate over an Internet
• Innovations in STEM + Arts will revolutionize “Things”
• Intel innovations form an Intelligent Sensor Platform for IoT
• IEEE standards will deliver IoT to the world
