“Doing Business in Bitcoin”
Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money, the first and largest of the burgeoning peer-to-peer cryptocurrencies. Michael Lewellen will cover the basics of Bitcoin, mining for Bitcoin, buying and selling using Bitcoin, and trading in Bitcoin. The presentation will include a demonstration of a Bitcoin purchase and the mechanics of the transaction.
Michael Lewellen is a Bitcoin trader and consultant at his firm Cryptocurrency Consulting. He learned about Bitcoin his freshman year of high school and began mining Bitcoin his sophomore year. After that he began trading in Bitcoin as a LocalBitcoin trader and other exchanges. Eventually, that lead to him offering his services to others as a Bitcoin consultant in setting business using Bitcoin or businesses based on Bitcoin. Michael is currently a student attending the University of Texas at Dallas for his B.S. in Computer Science.
