Abstract

With autonomous vehicle technology right around the corner, many of today’s automobiles already include Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) of various types and functionalities that are the building blocks of autonomy. Pre-collision Systems (PCS) are the ADAS system that is currently the hot topic within these systems. This presentation will discuss the evolution of PCS systems on Toyota and Lexus vehicles and some of the challenges faced by these systems in today’s driving environments.

A tour of the new environmentally friendly LEED certified campus at Toyota Motor North America in Plano is also included. See how Toyota has created a dynamic new environment challenging those of Google and Amazon and brought leadership from all areas of the company to one location to create “One Toyota”.
