The Dallas Section of IEEE has many accomplished members. We would like to recognize our members for their accomplishments.
One of our Members, Goksel Dedeoglu will be giving a lecture on Computer Vision “Computer Vision Grows Up” for IEEE Consultants’ Network of Silicon Valley on Tuesday, December 2nd.
The talk will describe the challenges engineers face in deploying Computer Vision on embedded platforms, and how every Computer Vision solution seems to require its own computationally demanding algorithm. It will also explore the opportunities ahead as low-cost embedded devices such as wearables promise a world full of vision-enabled devices. See Link to IEEE CNSV site for further details of his talk.
- Here’s a very interesting video about our Dallas Section Board member and innovation expert, Dr. TJ Xia:
- Jeff Tregre, incoming Vice Chair of EMC, had his invention published in Make magazine. He developed a “Water Leak Detector Circuit” which was published in Make Magazine’s Oct. 2011 issue.
