Austin Albright Biography
Austin is a Senior Member of IEEE, member ofEta Kappa Nu, and has been a member of IEEE for 14 years. He earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UT-Knoxville and his B.S. degree also in Electrical Engineering at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. For the last eight years, Austin has been an R&D staff member at Oak Ridge National Lab and is currently a member of the RF, Communications, and Intelligent Systems Group. His major research focuses are: software defined radios, in particular FPGA implementations, embedded systems hardware-software integration, and signal processing/analysis focusing on the useful application of joint time-frequency analysis. Prior to joining ORNL he held a Dept. of Homeland Security Fellowship. He has served on the IEEE East Tennessee Section’s executive committee as a director in 2014 and 2015 and Vice Chair in 2016.
