Jared Baxter Biography
Jared Baxter earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Energy Science and Engineering though the Bredesen Center. Jared’s research interests include power electronics, wide-bandgap devices, energy harvesting, and electric vehicles. He served as the chairperson for the UTK IEEE Student Branch as well as the founding chairperson of the UTK IEEE PES/PELS Joint Chapter. In addition, Jared served as an ambassador for the Center for Ultra-wide-area Resilient Electrical Energy Transmission Networks (CURENT), participated in the National Academy of Engineers Grand Challenge Scholars Program, and is a member of Eta Kappa Nu.
