Maya AdulamyMs. Maya Adulamy

Maya Adulamy leads special projects at the government ICT Authority, Prime Minister’s Office in Israel. Maya is focused on the cross Government open data project and advances partnerships with the private sector to enhance innovative services for citizens and support the local startup ecosystem’s development.

Prior to joining the ICT authority, Maya developed business strategies for an Israeli startup company.  Prior to that, she worked as a lawyer at the Knesset and Israel’s State Attorney’s Office.

Maya holds an MBA from INSEAD and a joint degree in Law (L.L.B) and Education from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Professor Shifra Baruchson Arbib, Dean of the Faculty for Humanities, Bar-Ilan University Israel. Founder and former Head of the department of Information Studies In bar Ilan university.

Author of 60 papers and 3 books:

  1. Books and Readers – The Reading Interests of Italian Jews at the Close of the Renaissance, 1993 (awarded the Zalman Shazar-President of Israel- Prize for outstanding research in Judaic Studies, 1993).
  2. Social Information Science: Love, Health and the Information Society – The Challenge of the 21st Century, 1996.
  3. La culture livresque des Juifs d’Italie a la Fin de la Renaissance, 2001.

nir-hirshmanDr. Orna Berry

Dr. Berry is a recognized entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in the Israeli science, technology and venture capital industries. She is known for her efforts to promote excellence, entrepreneurship and innovation in Israeli society. Dr. Berry has held a wide range of key positions with significant social and public impact throughout her career – she was a founding partner of Ornet Data Communications Ltd. She was the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the Israeli government, served as the Chairperson of the Israeli Venture Capital Funds Association and was previously a Venture Partner at Gemini Israel Funds. Dr. Berry also served as the Chairperson at PrimeSense, which was later acquired by Apple.

Currently Dr. Berry serves as the Corporate Vice President Innovation of EMC Centers of Excellence and R&D Centers and as the General Manager of EMC Israel Center of Excellence. She also serves as the Chairperson of the Israel-Australia Chamber of Commerce and as the chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Academic College Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Throughout her career Berry, has been the recipient of various awards, most recently the “WITI Hall of fame” award by WITI Women in Technology International which every year recognize, honor, and promote the outstanding contributions women make to the scientific and technological communities around the world.

In 2012 she was the recipient of the “Yakirat Ha’Negev” award from Ben Gurion University, which recognized her achievements and excellence in the technology industry, as well as her successful entrepreneurship ventures and profound involvement in establishing an EMC R&D branch in the Negev region.

In 2011 she was granted the Viterbi Award from the University of Southern California (USC) for her ability to integrate entrepreneurship with professional excellence.

 

Orna HeilingerOrna Heilinger

Orna has 20 years experience managing call centers and is responsible for the recruiting, training and ongoing management. She oversees the operation of hundreds of workers, establishes telephone call centers in different organizations, and manages the training and instruction in a whole array of sales and service worlds. Her building organizational service concept includes methods of implementation, monitoring and performance success. In accordance with the needs of the organization, she did characterization of the CRM system.

Orna has been mentoring and providing support for young managers, and is a lecturer and instructor of spin-school diploma studies at the Open University.

In 2013, Orna established and managed the Safer Internet Center for the Israel Internet Association. She was responsible for the construction and operation of the emergency line to support the victims. Parliamentary activities were to promote awareness and coalition building infrastructure for joint activities in the field of training for a safer Internet for children and adults.

Since 2007 Orna has done freelance consulting and training.

Nir Hirshman, 35, CEO at Nirshman’s PR. Formerly served as Minister Michael Eitan’s media advisor, spokesman of the Knesset’s Education Committee and director of the Israeli Open Government initiative.

As a media consultant and PR manager, Hirshman has led many public campaigns, including the campaign against the biometric database, the university lecturers’ strike in 2008, the army reservists’ struggle the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the campaign against the biometric database in 2010, and more.

Hirshman established the Public participation website, where the Israeli government consults with citizens about various bills it submits; he managed the Trachtenberg Committee’s national internet debate during the social protest in 2011, and set up, together with the Public konwledge workshop, the Open Budget and watch.gov.il websites. The latter is the first website in the world to actively track government performance in real time. Since its establishment Nirshman’s PR has managed campaigns for a series of clients, including the campaign against the biometric database, MK Ronen Hoffman, CallApp, Giza venture capitalists, Logz.io, WebScience, Arcserve, Giza venture capitalists, WebScience, CTwiz, The Citizen empowerment center, the Maas movement for improving the human capital in public service, 20K4me, and others.

 

Jonathan KlingerJonathan Klinger

Attorney Jonathan Klinger is an Israeli Cyberlaw attorney and blogger; acting as a legal consultant for several high-tech companies and start-ups. Jonathan is also Legal counsel for Hamakor, Israel’s Open Source Society, Eshnav, people for Intelligent Internet Use, Israel’s Digital Right Movement, and others. Jonathan taught computer game development law at Beit Berl College and teaches Media Law. Jonathan volunteers at the Digital Rights Movement free speech clinic where he takes cases related to strategic lawsuits against public participation (SLAPP).

 

Yoram LichtensteinYoram Lichtenstein

Yoram Lichtenstein, Adv. runs his own boutique-like law-firm that specializes in Internet Law, Intellectual Property and commercial law in those areas of expertise. Yoram has been practicing law since 1994, and holds a Master of Law at Tel Aviv University.

Yoram specializes in various intellectual property and commercial issues related to ongoing businesses on the Internet. As such Yoram deals with web-entrepreneurs on various stages of their venture, from creating the foundation (such as website building agreements), ongoing to launch (drafting terms of use and privacy policy, preparing affiliate programs, etc.) and consulting such ventures upon various legal pitfalls, problems and litigation.

Yoram lectures in various academic and commercial venues (such as The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Shenkar College of Design and Engineering, Tel Aviv Bar, ISOC-IL, etc.) on his fields of expertise.
