IEEE Volunteers Needed: IEEE MOVE Community Outreach Diaster Relief and STEM Education Training
Training for volunteers interested in helping on the IEEE MOVE Community Outreach Disaster Relief and STEM Education vehicle will be held at the HESS Club in the Houston Galleria area. Training will include discussion of all the disaster relief systems with hands on use. Get a unique look at the MOVE control center. Learn how to serve the community through disaster relief. This training is also valuable for STEM outreach missions to excite students in Science Technology Engineering and Math and show how technology improves our lives and our society. Taking this training does not commit you to go to a disaster relief effort, but it is a required step if you may wish to participate. Program requirements are explained in detail.
This is a two part training event.
Part I: Monday, August 1, 2016 6pm – 9pm
Part II: Tuesday, August 2, 2016 6pm – 9pm
A combination of class room training followed by hands on use of the truck systems will be employed. Program details will be covered and your questions will be answered regarding all aspects of participation.
Dinner is to be provided by the IEEE Houston Section for all Registered Participants.
