The Huntsville Chapter of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society invites you to attend a Technical Meeting on February 27, 2014 featuring a talk given by Louis A. Feudi.  The program will begin at 5:30 pm with Teseq Inc. sponsoring a free catered meal. Louis’ technical presentation will begin at approximately 6:20 pm after some short chapter status updates.

Many test labs conduct EMC Radiated Immunity Testing. Some require 3V/m, some 10V/m. Some even higher for MIL Std and DO-160 Testing. Most EMC tests require 80% amplitude modulation. HIRF requires pulsed applications.

Selecting the correct amplifier power rating can be effected by the compression point of the amplifier, the need to add 80% AM, Cable losses, Antenna Gains, and Semi Anechoic Chamber calibration ratings. This lecture reviews the operation of TWT, solid State, and Pulse amplifiers and provides guidelines for the selection of the power needed to conduct these tests within the linear amplification of the amplifier.

The meal and presentations are open to anyone interested in EMC or Circuit Design: IEEE membership is not required to attend.

Seating is limited to the first 50 people registered. You must Register at as soon as you can, but no later than 2:00 p.m. CST February 25, 2014. Note: If you are not an IEEE member or do not have your IEEE Membership Number please just leave that portion of the form blank. Also, we really only need your name and email address; unfortunately, IEEE’s Vtools does not allow one to remove unrequired fields.

I hope to see you there!
