The Huntsville Chapter of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society invites you to attend a Technical Meeting on August 17, 2017 featuring a talk given by Mr. Chris Gorman.  The program will begin at 5:30 pm with Robert Wood representing Voltage Multipliers Inc. / Millennium Sales Inc. sponsoring a free catered meal.  Mr. Gorman’s technical presentation will begin at approximately 6:20 pm after some short chapter status updates.

Synopsis: This presentation will provide an overview of the CISPR 16 standard and its application to EMI/EMC pre-compliance test instruments.  The types of detectors used to make EMI/EMC measurements including the Quasi Peak detector will be discussed.  Also, demonstrating how to determine if the Quasi Peak detector meets the requirements of the CISPR 16 standard using low cost test equipment.  In addition, a real world example of EMI/EMC testing will be demonstrated highlighting the new Tektronix EMI/EMC Pre-compliance test solution running on SignalVu-PC and the Tektronix RSA507A.

The meeting will be held at ADTRAN in the East Tower, 2nd floor, Islandview Conference Room. The directions are included below (follow the Blue line on the map).
