Technical Meeting and Lecture at National University of Singapore

IEEE Industry Applications Society Student Chapter Branch at National University of Singapore (NUS) and Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) jointly hosted a technical seminar on “Flying Cars – Challenges and Propulsion Strategies” on 23rd July 2015 at ECE, NUS. The speaker was Prof. Kaushik Rajashekhra, Distinguished Professor and Endowed Chair in Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science, University of Texas, Dallas.

The speaker talked how flying cars have become a point of interest with advancements in technology in engines, electric motors, power converters, and communications. Through several videos he demonstrated the recent commercial/research development in the area of flying cars. He further discussed the challenges involved to actualize the technology to be commercially viable and comfortable for users. Before the lecture, he met with IAS Student Members at NUS and discussed their current research.
