Department of Electronics and Communication of GCET College came up with an idea to organize a mini project display competition for EC 2nd Year students.

The main motive of this competition was to encourage the students to work upon different types of ICs and hence understand their various applications.

The scheduled of this event was from:

  • 3:45 PM to 5:30 PM

Whole competition was conducted and organized by the following faculty members:

Prof. Geetali Saha

Prof. Falgun Thakkar

The workshop was technically and voluntarily supported by IEEE GCET Student Branch.

There were 21 teams each consisting 3 students which very keenly took part in the competition.

At the end, the best 3 projects were decided by the faculties and the certificates were given to the winning team.

Project Presentation

As per scheduled the event started at 3:45PM in D206, 207, 208 Labs. The participating groups were divided into three parts and they were sent to respective labs.

First 20 minutes were given to assemble projects.

After the projects were assembled, the faculties started interacting with the students about their projects.

In the process, various conceptual questions regarding their project were asked so as to check their fundamental understanding about their project. Various advancements and improvements were discussed to the team members on the spot by the faculties which the students found interesting and informative.

After analysis done by the faculties, the students came to know about the errors they have made in their projects and its remedy.

Hereafter, the efforts put by various students was appreciated and soon grading of the projects was done and the best projects were decided and announced by the organizers.

At the end, Prof. Falgun Thakkar was felicitated with a token of gratitude.

Students found the competition very much challenging and interesting and showed an enthusiasm to participate in such events in near future.
