This was a 2 session workshop conducted on 6th and 7th February 2019. It was conducted according to the suggestion given by the students, as it can be a help in their project work. Dr. Jaison Mathew was the resource person. Participants made use of Proteus 8.6 for this fully hands-on workshop.
1st day was an introduction to Proteus simulation. Participants were introduced to different tools in Proteus and simple circuits were designed and simulated. All the thumb rule considerations while designing the PCB was discussed. Assignments were given for the next day for evaluating the effectiveness of the session. The circuit designed on the previous session was used for preparing the PCB layout.
On the 2nd day, fabrication methods and steps were discussed. Proper video guide to how fabrication is done was given. An PIC16F877A development board was fabricated on PCB and given for future use.
