“How to reach out to sponsors” training workshop

As students, in some cases, we need sponsors to get the material needed for our projects, and ideas. That’s why, IEEE ENIM IAS SBC, in collaboration with our WIE AF, organized a training about sponsorship and how to deal with sponsors.

This half-day workshop was designed to assist all IEEE Students members who have to deal with negotiation.

Getting sponsors can be a challenge for many organizers. Generally, when We are approaching a potential sponsor, we will need to explain what IEEE ( its chapters, contests, competitions ..) is, excite them about the opportunity, and convince them it’s worth their while.

Specific components of the training include:

  • Find the right contact (and timing)
  • The skills needed to send a letter.
  • What to communicate?
  • The use of the IEEE and the IAS description slides.
  • What to say.
  • How to Create sponsorship packages.
