The Future’s Engineer

IEEE IAS ENIM chapter in collaboration with IEEE WIE ENIM SAG organized a non-technical event under the name of “The future’s engineer”. The event duration was two days on the 19th and the 20th of January 2019 at ” EL MOSTAKBAL” school Sousse.
40 pupils from 4 different schools (10 from each school) participated in both days activities.

2017 IAS Annual Meeting in Cincinnati, OH.

Over more than a half-century, the IAS Annual meeting has established a long tradition as an international forum for practicing engineers, researchers, students and technical experts to present and discuss the latest developments in the application of electrical technology covering fields such as automation, control, electrostatics, mining, metals, and standards for electrical installations. Chess tournament

In collaboration with our EMBS SBC, IEEE ENIM IAS SBC have organized the first edition of a chess tournament at the National school of engineers in Monastir.

Over 26 students have participated in our chess competition including the National junior champion of chess.

After the competition, we have animated a Q&A session about IEEE IAS SBC, its benefits, vision, and history.

In order to encourage students joining IEEE, the three student’s winners got an IEEE membership to be able discovering more IEEE and its chapters and joying our entity.

Industrial visit to LEONI.

Industrial visit to the global supplier of wires, cables and wiring systems as well as a provider of related development services, LEONI.

An Industrial visit to “LEONI Wiring Systems Tunisia – LTN1-4 was organized by IEEE ENIM IAS Student Branch chapter on Friday, 24th February 2018. Sixteen IAS student visited LEONI production wires units to interact with the cable technology to understand current market scenarios, latest most demanding technologies & criteria for selection etc.

One hour after reaching the industry. We have divided our members into the batch of 5 students per batch for the visit and the interaction with the industry person. The Technical Head of LEONI’s production unit conducted a very informative session for the students.

Also, he motivated to the students to select their domain and area of interest. He also guided the students to select the industrial areas like automotive production engineering, wiring systems energy production units, etc.

He also guided on advanced production technology which is their working technology.

Finally, he gave a whole instruction of the industry safety tips.

Each session was concluded with Question-Answer session. Many of the students asked different questions to the Technical Head on current demanding technologies, market scenarios etc. and he cleared all the doubt and myths which was in students mind about the technologies and Wiring sector. All students were satisfied after the session.

Finally, IEEE ENIM IAS members took the initiative to talk about IAS student chapter among the production engineering team in the meeting room. They were very interested in what IAS could offer to young professional, and how IAS encouraged student member to be familiar with the industry field.

Finally, we left the premises at 2 p.m. it was an informative, interesting and a successful visit.

Altium Designer training

IEEE ENIM IAS Student Branch chapter organized in collaboration with ENIM RAS SBC 4 days of Altium Design training, 7 hours per day.

Altium designer in one the powerful PCB software design, and by getting started and building electronics project using this software, our IEEE IAS members, and future members will have an opportunity to enlarge their electronics design skill and be updated with the industry needs.

After succeeding the training, the participation got a certificate which will be more than useful in their future career as an electrical engineer.

IAS Open Doors Day

IEEE IAS ENIM Student organized several booths at the National school on engineers in Monastir in order to promote and showcase the IAS SBC, and let students who are not familiar with IEEE know better about IAS, its vision; benefits, contest, competition, travel programs and network.

Over than 200 students were present during the day, and several questions were asked about IEEE and IAS.
