Awards & Recognition

The Electrical Safety Committee has several awards processes to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the mission of the Committee.

 

William C. Jordan Award

The William C. Jordan Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to the mission and strategies of the Electrical Safety Workshop and Electrical Safety Committee.  The William C. Jordan Award is not considered an annual award and will be given only at times when it is determined that an individual clearly has met, or exceeded the award criteria.  The William C. Jordan Award is the highest level award presented by the Electrical Safety Committee. Recipient selection is responsibility of the Advisory and Nominations Subcommittee. Established in 2008 as the Electrical Safety Workshop Founders Award, renamed in 2015.

Outstanding Service Award

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding administrative leadership and contributions in support of the Electrical Safety Committee, including activities of any of its subcommittees. Recipient selection is responsibility of the Awards Subcommittee. Established in 2015.

Excellence in Prevention through Design Technical Award

The Excellence in Prevention through Design Technical Award recognizes an individual’s leadership and contributions in activities of the Electrical Safety Committee that serve to advance engineering technology solutions impacting electrical safety. Recipient selection is responsibility of the Awards Subcommittee. Established in 2015.

Electrical Safety Workshop Prize Paper Awards

These awards recognizes papers and presentations from the technical program at the annual IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop. Recipient selection is responsibility of the Technical Program Subcommittee.
