Welcome to INDICON 2019 ! Greetings from INDICON 2019 Organizing Committee of IEEE Gujarat Section INDICON is the flagship annual conference of the IEEE India Council in the fields of Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, in general. This has been a metamorphic version of Annual Convention and Exhibitions (ACE) which was the annual meeting of the IEEE India Council. During ACE 2003 it was decided to completely restructure it in the form of a conference where India Council would also formally meet. Since then it has been renamed as INDICON. The first INDICON was organized by the IEEE Kharagpur Section at IIT Kharagpur during 20-22 Dec, 2004. Subsequent INDICONs were organized by the IEEE Madras Section (11-13 Dec, 2005 in Chennai), the IEEE Delhi Section (15-17 Sep, 2006 in Delhi), the IEEE Bangalore Section (6-8 Sep, 2007 in Bangalore), the IEEE UP Section (11-13 Dec, 2008 in IIT Kanpur), the IEEE Gujarat Section (18-20 Dec, 2009 in DA-IICT, Gandhinagar), the IEEE Calcutta Section (17-19 Dec, 2010 in Jadavpur University, Kolkata), the IEEE Hyderabad Section (16-18 Dec, 2011 in BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad), jointly by the IEEE Kerala Section and Kochi sub-section (7-9 Dec, 2012 in RSET Cochin), the IEEE Bombay Section (13-15 Dec, 2013 in IIT Bombay), the IEEE Pune Section (11-13 Dec, 2014 in Yashada, Pune), the IEEE Delhi Section (17-19 Dec, 2015 in Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi), the IEEE Bangalore Section (16-18 Dec, 2016 in IISc Bangalore), the IEEE UP Section (15-17 Dec, 2017 in IIT Roorkee), the IEEE Madras Section (15-18 Dec, 2018 in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore). Today INDICON has its own brand image. In past few years it has started attracting international participation also. Theme of INDICON 2019: “Applying Artificial Intelligence in Engineering for Prosperity and Betterment of Humanity” Dates of INDICON 2019: 13-15 December 2019 Venue of INDICON 2019: Marwadi University , Rajkot (Gujarat). We are planning to schedule at least two Plenary Talks, several track specific invited talks, tutorial, workshops by reputed academicians and practitioners of corresponding domains. IEEE INDICON 2018

The 15th IEEE India Council International Conference (INDICON 2018), being organized by the IEEE Madras Section during December 15-18, 2018, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Combatore, with technical support from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, promises to be bigger and better than before. Covering all the areas of relevance to the IEEE, the topics have been broadly classified into twelve tracks. More information about the conference can be obtained from its website (http://indicon2018.in).  The Call for Papers can be downloaded from this link  (http://indicon2018.in/Assets/cfp_details.jpeg). Over the years, INDICON has established a reputation for publication of high – quality research and for the opportunities for interaction and networking that it provides, so much so that today, it attracts the best of research and researchers in the country, in the areas of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering. The Proceedings of all the previous editions of INDICON have been SCOPUS-indexed as well as included in IEEExplore. Pre-Conference and Tutorials have been scheduled on December 15, where we hope to bring some of the best researchers in different areas to deliver talks / sessions of around three hours each, on topics of their choice and of relevance to the engineering fraternity. From this year, the MV Chauhan Best Student Paper Contest of the IEEE India Council is being integrated with INDICON. Plans are also being made for Best Paper Awards in each of the above tracks, as determined by the Track Chairs and Co-Chairs. There will be a number of Keynote Addresses and Plenary Sessions, with a few international speakers already lined up. A Research Scholars’ Symposium is also being scheduled along with an exhibition by various industries.
