Engineers Day Special – Destination Moon: Building of a Moonshot

September 15, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Dear IEEE members,

IEEE India Council and IEEE Bombay Section are proudly presenting a very special event, titled “Destination Moon: Building of a Moonshot” – commemorating the Engineer’s Day on September 15, 2018 at 10am at the Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Kurla (W), Mumbai.

India’s aerospace startup Team Indus is attempting the first ever soft-landing on the Moon by any private entity. An unbelievably challenging feat that only the USA, USSR and China have achieved via national space programmes with billion-dollar budgets and decades of prior space experience. This Engineer’s Day, ECA or ‘Ek Choti si Asha’, the micro-class exploration rover tailored to explore the lunar surface is coming to Mumbai! Join Team Indus engineers (Prithvi Gautham, John K John and Hari Prasad Gokul) as they share the journey of building a Moonshot –  from the science and engineering behind the mission to the challenges of building a spacecraft and a space-grade rover.

This event was made possible by the grant titled “Furthering Indian perception of IEEE” by the IEEE Foundation.

All are Welcome.
