Presentation details

There are 2 sets of interactive poster sessions on Thursday, December 1, organized under 6 sessions.

  • Sessions ThAM2PP1, ThAM2PP2 and ThAM2PP3 will be scheduled for 11:00am – 12:30pm.
  • Sessions ThPM2PP1, ThPM2PP2 and ThPM2PP3 will be scheduled for 2:40pm – 4:10pm.

Details are posted in the conference program.

Poster hanging and removal

Posters will be on display in the foyer space on level 1 of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Posters are arranged under 6 sessions as per program, and each poster has been allocated a unique identification number to indicate where it should be hung in the display area — please note, you are required to hang your poster in the allocated position. Check with the registration desk for your poster number if you are unsure.

Posters can be affixed to the poster boards with velcro. If necessary velcro can be obtained from the conference registration desk.

All posters must be removed from display by the end of your session i.e. 12:30pm and 4:10pm. The conference organising committee takes no responsibility for posters that are not collected by this time.

Poster format

Posters should be no larger than portrait A0 (841 mm ×1189 mm). All posters must be in English.

Your poster should include a title banner, listing the presentation title, and the authors’ names and their organisation(s) including a headshot so delegates may identify you. Text in the poster should be brief and clear and concise. The poster should be understandable without oral explanation.

Handouts of your poster presentation are permissible.

To ensure your poster has maximum impact, please consider the following formatting suggestions:

  • poster titles should be a minimum size of 45 pt
  • headings should be a minimum size of 30 pt
  • text should be a minimum size of 20 pt (readable from a distance of 2 metres)
  • avoid making the text all capitals as this makes it harder for the audience to read
  • avoid using a mixture of font styles
  • a matt finish on photographs reduces glare and provides better visibility
  • results should be displayed graphically, if possible, through the use of pictures, symbols and colour
  • figure legends are essential; however, these should be clear and concise.
