Welcome to the Jacksonville IEEE Section Website, hosting the Power and Energy Society, Industrial Applications Society, and Computer Society.

Previous Chapter Activities:

• Computer Chapter hosted series of webinars on Machine Learning tools and techniques.
• Presented to Georgia Tech Section on AI Explainability using SHAP and other tools.
• JTA hosted a group from IEEE for a tour of their Autonomous vehicle program and facility.
• The Jacksonville section is offering to fund a resume preparation service for student chapter members.
• The Jacksonville Section is also offering to have its members conduct Mock interviews for students.

University of North Florida (UNF) Activities:

• UNF has Computer Chapter is presenting to the robotics club on Thursday 11/18.
• UNF participated in the IEEEXtreme Programming  Contest again this year.  No streaming video this year.

Jacksonville University (JU) activities:

• JU is starting a Student Chapter!
• JU is working on a team for SECCON engineering.
• JU has a design and Build project as part of its Enginering curriculum.  One student team is working on the Voda Rover, an aquatic drone for river operations and cleanup.  The Jacksonville Section has agreed to fund a model build.
