We’re happy to announce our next IEEE Las Vegas Computer Society meeting on Tuesday, November 27th starting at 5:30pm.

We’re treating to pizza at the home of Ruby and Professor Bob.
This meeting counts as one (1) PDH.

Eric Olsen of Spectronix/Digital System Research will be speaking on “A new form of computer which doesn’t use binary!”

Eric Olsen graduated with a BSE from UNLV in 1987. Since graduating, he has been mainly employed in the gaming equipment manufacturing industry. Mr. Olsen has extensive electronics product design experience, and is fluent in digital design, including FPGA design, board level design as well software programming. In 2001, he formed Spectronix, a multi-million dollar gaming equipment company based in Las Vegas. Today, Mr. Olsen still leads Spectronix, but is also engaged in other enterprises, including a new company called Digital System Research, where he is lead researcher into a new form of computer architecture which does not use binary for calculations.
