General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Implications to Banking Industry”

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new European Union regulation which went live on 25th May 2018. EU and non-EU companies processing personal data of individuals in EU have to get GDPR compliance.. Tough penalties are there  for non-compliance (4% of global revenue or EUR 20 million). Responsibilities  are  high on  organizations while handling personal data & any breach incidents. The talk will cover the new personal data regulation GDPR rolled out in EU and it’s implications to industry (Banking). 

About the Speaker: 

Shiju Kakkadath, Lead Consultant, Wipro Limited, Zurich, Switzerland. Shiju  has  about 18 years of experience in IT. He has over 12 years of experience delivering IT projects for major banks in EU & APAC.
