NOTICE: Abstract deadline extended to February 20

Dear Colleagues,

The second International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS) is held from 17-21 July 2017 in Montréal, Canada http://marss-conference.org/. General Chair: Sylvain Martel (CA), Program Chairs: Fumihito Arai (JP), Dave Cappelleri (US), and Antoine Ferreira (FR). This recently-established annual conference is managed by a high-level Steering Committee and technically supported by IEEE-RAS and IEEE-NTC. The Steering Committee has the ambition to develop MARSS to the flagship event for cross-disciplinary R&D communities to discuss current activities in all areas related to manipulation and automation (including measurement and characterization) at micro & nano scales, and in all kinds of small scale robots and their applications.

We cordially invite you to attend and contribute to the conference http://marss-conference.org/download/MARSS2017_Call-for-Papers.pdf. The conference offers 5-6 keynote talks, about 20 plenary talks and parallel sessions (oral presentations only). Full or short papers on MARSS-related topics are invited, see details at http://marss-conference.org/submission/paper-submission/. All presented full papers following IEEE format will be included into IEEE Xplore and indexed by Ei. Selected papers will be recommended to J. of Micro-Bio Robotics, J. of Medical Robotics Research, and other renowned Journals for publication of Special Issues. The conference also features a plenary Industrial Panel discussion and an on-site exhibition.

Please consider organizing a Special Session at MARSS2017. You may check http://marss-conference.org/calls/call-for-special-sessions for details. Every Special session organizer (at least 5 registered presentations required) will benefit from theappreciation allowance of 450 CAD.

Submission of full or short papers:                 February 1 February 20, 2017

Special session proposals:                                 February 1 February 20, 2017

You are kindly requested to disseminate information on MARSS2017 in your professional networks.

We look forward to meeting you in Montréal!
