25 – 28 July 2016, Pittsburgh (USA)
Call for Paper Submissions
Update: Abstract submission deadline has been extended to March 25th, 2017
We cordially invite you to submit your papers to the 17th IEEE International Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE NANO 2017) to be held July 25 – 28, 2017 at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center in Pittsburgh, USA. The conference website is now open for abstract submission. Abstract submission deadline is February 7, 2017.
The IEEE NANO conference is sponsored by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council, which was first launched in 2001 and has since then been the focus of nanotechnology activities in IEEE and more generally, a most important focus of the nanotechnology community worldwide. The conference aims to bring together researchers and developers from academia and industry as well as entrepreneurs and funding agencies leaders in the general area of nanotechnology. IEEE NANO 2017 will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, interaction, networking and collaboration for research and development in nanotechnology with special attention to the latest advances in nanotechnology. Topics for contributing papers include but are not limited to:
- DNA Nanotechnology
- Micro-to-nano-scale bridging
- Modeling and Simulation of Nanostructures and Nanodevices
- Nanobiology and Nanomedicine
- Nanomanufacturing and Nanofabrication
- Nano Robotics and Automation
- Nano-optics, Nano-optoelectronics, and Nanophotonics
- Nanoscale Metrology and Characterization
- Nano/Molecular Heat Transfer & Energy Conversion
- Nanoscale Communication and Networks
- Nano/Molecular Sensors, Actuators, and Systems
- Nanotechnology Safety, Education and Commercialization

Over the years, IEEE NANO has strived to feature high quality invited presentations from leaders and pioneers in the nanotechnology discipline. We proudly announce that, Sir James Fraser Stoddart, the 2016 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, has accepted our invitation to give a plenary speech on “Nanomachine” at the IEEE NANO 2017!
The host city, Pittsburgh, is the 20th-largest in the U.S. Located at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers, which form the Ohio River. Pittsburgh is known as both “the Steel City” for its more than 300 steel-related businesses, and as the “City of Bridges” for its 446 bridges. Pittsburgh continues rise to the top of cities worth visiting. Recently named one of the “Best Places to Travel in 2016” by Travel + Leisure, rated the nation’s “No. 1 Food City” by Zagat and named among the “Top Destinations on the Rise” by TripAdvisor, it’s easy to see why everyone’s talking about Pittsburgh. Outstanding attractions and amenities, award-winning restaurants and world-class accommodations are among the biggest draws. Add to that the friendly people, affordability and walkability, you’ve got the perfect recipe for an ideal getaway.
