CALL FOR POSTERS and PH.D. FORUM ABSTRACTS

The IEEE conference on Network Softwarization, NetSoft 2016, invites both poster and Ph.D. forum abstracts on works-in-progress research in the field of networking software, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV). For a list of topics, please refer to the NetSoft’2016 Call for Papers. We particularly encourage student and industry submissions. The poster and Ph.D. forum session at NetSoft 2016 offers a great opportunity for researchers and students to present their work in progress to the scientific community and obtain valuable feedback from a knowledgeable crowd at the top-notch conference.

The poster and Ph.D. forum session will be structured as a poster presentation, followed by collective discussions. An accepted abstract must be presented by an author in the poster session (specific venue and time will be announced in POSTER and FORUM PRESENTATION GUIDELINES for the accepted abstracts) to interested attendees. Particularly, for the students, leading researchers will provide their own perspectives on current and future research in the field, as well as on how to best purse a graduate research in this context. The accepted abstracts will appear in the poster and forum handouts (will NOT be included in the electronic conference/workshops proceedings). Each accepted poster requires an author to register for the conference.

A Best Poster and Forum Award will be given based on the novelty and potentials in research. The quality of presentation and the interaction during the session will also be important criteria. The award will be announced in the closing session of the main conference.

PAPER SUBMISSION

A submission should be a 1-page abstract, which summarizes the novelty of proposed ideas, presents initial and work-in-progress results, and identifies challenges and future works to develop a complete solution. Abstracts will be evaluated by the Posters and Ph.D. Forum Session committee based on their originality and the potential to stimulate discussions and promote future collaborations.

The abstract should incorporate the following:

Title,

Brief Summary,

Idea Description, and

Initial Results.

The abstract should be submitted through electronic mail (E-mail) to sjsong@umkc.edu and shpack@korea.ac.kr  by May 6, 2016.
