2nd IEEE CONFERENCE ON NETWORK SOFTWARIZATION – NetSoft 2016

Softwarization of Networks, Clouds, and Internet of Things

SEOUL, KOREA

June 6-10, 2016

CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

The 2nd edition of the IEEE International Conference on Network Softwarization (NetSoft2016), premier IEEE forum for technical exchange on software-defined infrastructures and services, which will take place in Seoul, Korea, invites proposals for one-day or half-day workshops to be held on June 10, 2016 immediately after the main technical program. The purpose of the workshops is to complement the conference program with forums for research, develop-ment, integration, standards, service provisioning, and user communities addressing newly emerging and potentially controversial topics on advanced modeling, representation, composition algorithms, and deployment for Software-defined Networks in 5G, Network Function Virtualization, Service Function Chaining, IoT, and related functionality, such as security, management, and operations. Proposals from industry and academia are welcome. Accepted and presented workshop papers will be published in the conference proceedings and will be submitted to IEEE Xplore®.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Each NetSoft2016 workshop proposal in a single PDF file must include:

  • Name and abbreviation of the workshop
  • Names, addresses, and a short (200 words) bio of the major organizers (including TPC (Co-)chair(s) and OC General (Co-)chair(s))
  • A brief description (1 page) of the technical focus addressed by the workshop, reasons why the workshop is of interest at this time, and reasons why this area is important in the context of NetSoft2016; additionally, state explicitly why this workshop is unique.
  • Technical Program Committee (TPC) and/or Organizing Committee (OC) in 1/2 page
  • Likely contributors and targeted audience (1 page)
  • The planned format of the workshop, including a strategy to facilitate lively and interactive discussions
    (1/2 page)
  • If applicable, a description of past events of the workshop, including statistics of submitted/accepted papers and attendee numbers. If the workshop does not have past editions, please provide estimates and explain a strategy on how to reach the targets of paper submissions and attendees (1 page).
  • Publicity and advertising plan to attract paper submissions and attendees (1/2 page)
  • A draft of 1-page “Call for Papers (CfP)” including title, description, topics and important dates.
  • The workshop’s Web site (URL), if applicable
