ABSTRACT

In his talk on electrical forensics Mr. Johnson will explain the typical forensic evaluation process and both the standard and the scientific method for rendering expert opinions. He will further discuss the relationship between electrical fire and electrical forensics. Typical electrical forensic cases will be cited for explanatory purposes.

BIOGRAPHY

Sidney G. Johnson is a licensed electrical engineer (PE) with BSEE and MSENMG degrees from the University of New Orleans. He has worked in utility distribution systems as an installer, investigator, restorer and supervisor in both the service and construction areas. In addition, he has been an engineer, project manager and manager in engineering design.

He is certified as a project management professional (PMP), a fire and explosion investigator (CFE), and is currently a staff electrical engineer for DJ & G Electrical Consultants, LLC.
