Our Joint Section/ComSoc Meeting will be held on October 18, 2017 beginning with lunch at 12 Noon, followed by a tour of the Air Traffic Control Tower (starting about 1 pm) at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NASJRB) New Orleans. This is a unique opportunity to visit an active facility and tour the control tower – an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often!

We will meet at 12 Noon for lunch at Captain Larry’s Seafood Market, 11334 LA Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. Tel 504-656-2265.

The restaurant is on LA Hwy 23, aabout two miles past the entrance to the Naval Air Station. Attendees can select a sandwich & drink from the menu. We will eat lunch at the restaurant, and then board a passenger van to the Naval Air Station.

NOTE: One of our Section Directors, Lawrence Hall, is stationed at the base – and, he has secured the van to provide our attendees transportation to the facility. Multiple trips will be made if necessary. Riding in the van will make access into the base MUCH easier!

Once on the base, we will start (about 1 pm) our tour of the Air Traffic Control Tower. There will be time for Q & A either during or after the tour. Once the program is concluded, all attendees will be transported back to Captain Larry’s.
