From NJIT IEEE Student Branch Chair to IEEE President-elect: Maximizing Your Excellence Throughout Your Career

December 4, 2013 @ 17:30 – 19:00
Room: 202
Bldg: ECE Building

Co-sponsored by: AP03/MTT17, ED/CAS, and TMC

This talk is focussed on undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Michel is a real example: his journey from NJIT IEEE Student Branch Chair to IEEE President-elect is hillarious and exciting, which lead him to achieve the goal and role model of many new graduate students.

Even Isaac Newton knew that his best work was not due solely to his own abilities. Newton’s success stemmed from making the most of his talents in science and mathematics and, as he so eloquently put it, “standing on the shoulders of giants.” As your career unfolds, being an active participant in IEEE provides you with opportunities to network with fellow ‘giants’ each and every day, exchanging ideas, critiquing approaches, and enhancing your efforts through those interactions. Today’s career requires lifelong learning; IEEE meets those requirements—and exceeds them—by bringing you a wealth of topical conferences on established and emerging technologies and publications that share the latest scholarship on diverse technological pursuits. The benefits IEEE provides throughout your career will impact you in countless different ways, but with one common goal: assisting you in bringing out the best of your best.
