The North Saskatchewan Section of the IEEE will hold its Annual Reception & General Meeting on Friday November 23, 2018 at the Manitoba Room, Saskatoon Inn (2002 Airport Drive) in Saskatoon. You and a guest are invited to a join us for a great meal, help congratulate some deserving award winners, an interesting after dinner speaker, and pleasant socializing with fellow members and friends.

This year we are very fortunate to have Dr. Hugh Wood as our keynote speaker, talking on “Who was Andrew McNaughton?” Many members will recognize the name McNaughton, but how many know the full story? This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about one of Canada’s most distinguished electrical engineers, and why he was honoured with the creation and support of McNaughton Learning Resource Centres across Canada.

Dr. Witold Kinsner, IEEE Canada Past President and IEEE Vice President, Educational Activities, will be joining us to give a short update on IEEE and IEEE Canada’s Activities and Plans, with a special focus on Educational Activities.

Costs (must be paid in advance online)

• Grad/Student IEEE Members (and guest): $15 each
• IEEE Members (and guest): $20 each
• Non-members: $40 each

In order to reserve for both yourself and a guest, you must add a guest to the reservation in vTools. The guest will require an IEEE number to get the member discount and you can use your IEEE number for yourself and one guest. If you are a student without a credit card, please see the Student Branch Chair to reserve a space and pay cash.
