VTS: Enhancing Rail Passenger Ride Quality and Safety through Improved Track Geometry

Michael Craft, Principal Engineer Track Geometry, will discuss the variety of ways Amtrak Engineering collects and uses data to identify ride quality problems and assess track condition on the Northeast Corridor. Amtrak is pursuing ways to advance sensor systems and analysis tools for improving how maintenance and capital improvement projects are planned and implemented. Michael will discuss different aspects of Amtrak data collection systems and analysis tools.
