Michael Cardinale

Michael_CardinaleMichael Cardinale has been an IEEE Member since 1984, and a Senior Member since 2002. He has over thirty years of experience as a working scientist and engineer. Working in small engineering firms from 1981 to 2006, he managed corporate engineering programs and provided design and systems engineering support to various Navy aircraft and submarine programs developing and integrating communications, navigation, countermeasures, electro-optical and radar systems. He also worked as a systems engineer and program manager on the development of electro-acoustic test systems for the Navy and acoustic detection and location systems for the Army. From 2006 through 2014, Mike worked for the US Department of Defense as a physical scientist and project manager developing acoustic, RF and lightwave systems, chemical and biometric sensors, and identity protection systems. He retired from full-time employment in January 2015.
