Welcome to the IEEE NSW Section (REGION 10)

The IEEE New South Wales (NSW) Section provides local activities and services to IEEE members who live, work and visit us in New South Wales, Australia. The NSW Section is member of the IEEE Australia Council and is located within the Asia-Pacific region of the IEEE, known as Region 10.

The NSW Section has in excess of 2,500 members that work together to advance technology for the benefit of humanity. This is done through a variety of local student branches, technical chapters and groups

By exploring our website you can find out about many of the various activities and opportunities available within the NSW community.

The address associated with your IEEE profile determines the local section that you belong to. Therefore, if you reside in NSW you automatically become a member of the NSW Section. One to two emails are sent to members each month outlining all the upcoming events and latest news. To receive this information you must have selected in your IEEE account settings the option to receive local communication. Alternatively, you can keep up to date with activities via:

  1. IEEE vTools https://events.vtools.ieee.org
  2. Our Section Website http://sites.ieee.org/nsw/
  3. Facebook https://www.facebook.com/IEEE-NSW-Section-146048629397751/
  4. LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/groups/13578458

The NSW Section Committee meets at 7.00pm on the first Monday of every month at North Sydney TAFE, Gore Hill (Excluding School holidays – when we make alternate venue arrangements). Members are invited to attend and engage at the committee meeting.

IEEE NSW is the oldest Section in Australia and you can explore the sections history here.
