Student Awards

 

The IEEE Orange County Computer Society (IEEE OCCS) will award a certificate of recognition and a one year student membership in the IEEE Computer Society to the outstanding Computer Engineering or Software Engineering student in each program at each of the three major universities in Orange County: the California State University Fullerton, Chapman University, the University of California Irvine. Students with a major in the following disciplines will be eligible at each university:

  • California State University Fullerton
    •  Computer Engineering
  • Chapman University
    •  Software Engineering
  • University of California Irvine
    •  Computer Science and Engineering
    •  Computer Engineering
    •  Electrical and Computer Engineering
    •  Software Engineering

The award recognizes achievement per the department criteria and includes a one year student IEEE Computer Society membership and a certificate to be presented by the IEEE OCCS at an appropriate institutional event.

TITLE: Outstanding Computer Engineering / Software Engineering student for the (appropriate) Academic Year

SELECTION CRITERIA: The awards are given in recognition of demonstrated ability, leadership, and professional promise. The recipients of the awards will be determined by the faculty in the appropriate disciplines at each of the Universities. PROCESS: Faculty nominations to their department heads by March 31. The department notifies the IEEE OCCS chair by April 30.
