Distinguished Lecturer – Tom Jobe

The IEEE Oklahoma City Section would like to congratulate Tom Jobe as being appointed as an EMBS Distinguished Lecturer for 2016-2017. Tom is an active volunteer for the Oklahoma City Section and currently serves as the EMB Chair.

Tom Jobe is the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering for SensiQ Technologies, a developer of biosensor-based instrumentation for Life Science researchers. Mr. Jobe leads the development of biosensor-based instruments used to measure the binding affinity and kinetic properties of biomolecules. Researchers involved in early stage drug discovery programs utilize these biosensors to characterize antibodies and small molecules for biotherapuetics. Mr. Jobe leads the commercialization activities for SensiQ Technologies, specializing in the “Label-Free” technology known as Surface Plasmon Resonance. Prior to his position at SensiQ Technologies , Mr. Jobe led the development efforts for bioMerieux as the Director of R&D Engineering, where he specialized in commercializing microbiology, coagulation and nucleic acid diagnostics instrumentation for the medical diagnostics industry. Mr. Jobe holds BS and MS degrees in Engineering from Oklahoma State University.
