This year’s IEEE OKC Electric Motor contest was held at the Science Museum on February 23, 2016 during the Engineering Fair. The Oklahoma Engineering Foundation organized the event and General Electric was the sole sponsor. The IEEE OKC Section would like to congratulate this year’s winning contestants:

Vertical Motor Category
First Place: William Newman & Abigail Milner, Yukon High School – 8072 RPM
Second Place: Brendan Hill, Yukon Middle School – 4764 RPM
Third Place: Jonah Richards, Yukon Middle School – 421 RPM

Horizontal Motor Category
First Place: Carter Smith & Levi McAbee, Corn Bible Academy – 3309 RPM
Second Place: Barryck Heisler, Pawnee Middle School – 2974 RPM
Third Place: Aynslie Van Nest, Brink Jr. High – 2746 RPM
