Attention IEEE Student Members!  The Ozark Section is pleased to announce the 2017 Student Paper Competition.  This competition is open to all current undergraduate students who are student members of IEEE.  Two winners will be selected from our section will compete at the area level, and two winners of our area will be sent, expenses paid, to compete at the Regional competition in Denver this spring, where you will be in the running for up to $1500 in prizes.

This is a two-part competition – written and oral.  Teams of up to three students are encouraged to enter.  For the local competition, a 3-7 page extended abstract and a 15 minute presentation will be required.  The winners of our local competition must be prepared to submit a complete 2500-3000 word technical paper (~7 pages) in February.

If you are interested in competing, please submit a title, your affiliation (university), your team, and a 200-500 word abstract by November 4th to mattfrancis@ieee.org.  Your 3-7 paper will be due December 5th.  Up to three teams will be selected to present the week of Dec. 5th, of which the two top teams will be eligible to move on to the Area level.
