MEMS – 9:20am
Dr. Tim Dallas is a professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas Tech University. He has 18 years’ experience in the Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) field and has developed a MEMS-based educational technology known as Class on a Chip. These devices are now ubiquitous, providing essential sensing (or actuation) for an ever-growing list of applications that span automotive to medical to military. Engineers from a wide variety of disciplines are needed to design, build and utilize these systems. This seminar will explore these devices and illustrate why they will continue to be critical to our technology future.

Ethics Case Study – 10:40am
Jonathan Hartman is going to lead a case study discussion on ethics based on the Texas board actions and NSPE’s guide for ethical situations.  If you have a situation you would like to be presented to the group, please email situation to jhartman@team-psc.com to be potentially included in the program.
