In 2016, Damir Novosel, PES President created the PES Policy Technical Support Task Force.  This task force was established to enhance the support provided to and cooperation with governments and regulatory organizations globally on technical issues.   As a result of the efforts of this task force, in 2016, IEEE signed Memorandums of Understanding with the following organizations:

• Department of Energy (DOE)
• Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
• North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC)

You can view the signed MOUs on the PES website.  In 2017, panel sessions are being organized in cooperation with DOE, FERC, NERC and European Union at ISGT and the PES General Meeting.
