I am pleased to report that we have had a strong year in PES publications. Our six journals and two magazines continue to grow in both submissions and papers published. The quality continues to grow as the impact factors of each of the Transactions continues to increase annually thanks to a large international reader base. The figure below shows which countries had the largest readership.

In January 2018, we welcomed Dr. Badrul Chowdhury as Editor in Chief of the Transactions on Sustainable Energy. He replaced Dr. Bikash Pal who finished his term as founding EIC of the journal. I would like to extend a hearty thanks to Dr. Pal for all of his hard work.

There are several publication events that will occur at the upcoming PES General Meeting in Portland, OR USA.

1. Editor Training: There will be a training meeting for ALL editors (anyone who serves on a PES Transactions editorial board) on Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm in OC-B113.
2. Publications Open Forum: Come meet the editor-in-chiefs at an open forum in OC-B113.  We will have a short presentation followed by a question and answer period.  Please bring your questions, comments, and concerns.

Please continue to consider the Power and Energy Technology Journal to publish open access papers on practical applications of technology. Industry authors who are looking for a forum to discuss case studies, test results, best-practices, or other application-oriented topics are encouraged to submit their work.
