I am very delighted to share a very good news with the PES family that IEEE PES Young Professionals (YP) Affinity Group (AG) has been selected as a winner of the 2018 IEEE Young Professionals Hall of Fame Award. As per the award letter issued by Rafal Sliz, IEEE YP Chair, the judges were impressed with the work produced by IEEE PES YP team and its leadership qualities. It is mentioned that the PES YP group has demonstrated outstanding performance in the following areas:

• Vitality of the group measured in the amount and quality of organized activities
• Collaboration with other IEEE units in order to facilitate engagement of members of all grades
• Collaboration with industry and academia
• New inspiring ideas that help grow the local Young Professionals community

Thanks to IEEE YP committee to take such a timely initiative to allow Technical Society’s YP in participating the award competition.
