I am very happy to share that the article submission rate in IEEE PES Enews Update has  significantly increased. We try to limit the maximum number of articles per issue so that a reader may not loose his/her interest while scrolling a long list of articles online. Moreover, in a particular issue, we try to bring variations in type of articles.

I have taken some new initiatives in PES Enews to make it more beneficial to our readers. In May 2019 issue, a new corner, namely “Humans of IEEE PES” is launched. This new section covers interview of a dedicated PES volunteer who is well known for his notable contribution to IEEE PES. The interview questions are set in such a way that our readers can learn various aspects of life of a dedicated PES volunteer. We try to include the audio or video recordings apart from the edited interview.

Next we are planning to cover feature articles on various PES Chapters and PES Student Branch Chapters. These feature articles will cover the best practices in a PES Chapter or Student Branch Chapter, which may inspire the other chapters to design similar activities considering their own need.

Next we are planning to bring in front of you the life story of the PES Award Winners in different categories. It will be a great opportunity for a young PES volunteer to know the award winner’s life story, especially his/her contributions to PES, which may help the PES to produce more and more award winning volunteers in future.

PES Enews publishes visions types of articles: visions of the PES Governing Board Members, updates from Region Representatives, articles on — Technical Committee updates, PES DL program, relevant conferences, event updates from — PES Chapters, PES student branch chapters, PES Young Professionals (YP), PES Women in Power (WiP), PES Humanitarian Activity Committee (HAC), PES scholarship program, PES conference travel grant program, IEEE Smart Village, PES Day celebration etc.

PES Enews is trying to serve as a convenient platform to disseminate the PES related news from all over the world.
